The joy of learning – and of belonging – is everywhere. Students are eager to come to school in the morning. Parents cluster in the courtyard and help in the classroom. Students are encouraged to approach their learning passionately and critically so that they may develop strong voices and acquire tools for independent thinking.

Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School is an independent non-profit private school for children in kindergarten through eighth grade. We serve the entire community and are not affiliated with any Jewish denomination. Pluralism and egalitarianism are key values. We are committed to promoting academic excellence and a lifelong love of learning by combining an outstanding general education with meaningful Jewish studies.

For the first thirteen years of its existence, the school was known as Mid-Peninsula Jewish Community Day School. We’re proud to rename our school in honor of Gideon Hausner, a man whose life was dedicated to Jewish values, justice and education as well as a deep commitment to the State of Israel.
