The Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School affirms the importance of community by encouraging family participation in school activities, family learning, parental social opportunities, and affiliation with other Jewish community institutions.
Families get involved with the school in deep and meaningful ways. Holiday celebrations and social gatherings include the entire family and provide a fun and casual way to get together.
Parents have the opportunity to participate in adult education events and lectures, join a monthly parent book group, and to get creative in an open art studio in our art center.
Our Mitzvah Corps responds quickly to families in need. Whether a community member is facing the challenge of a difficult medical situation or family emergency, an extra hand is readily available to help with meals, child care, driving and more.
We are closely aligned with local synagogues, the Jewish Community Federation, the Albert L. Schultz Jewish Community Center, New Bridges for Jewish Community and other Jewish organizations.
